What’s the latest on Lahore Ring Road’s Southern Loop III & IV ?

Since its project was planned for December 2017, there has been very little news about the LLR South Loop (SL)-III. The SL-III is an 8.5 km long road that will connect the Adda Plot overpass on Raiwind Road on Multan Road near the main entrance of the second phase of the National Fertilizer Cooperative (NFC) Housing Society via Golf View Residencia, the Tulip Extension of Bahria Town. , Rafi, Iqbal Juniper, Overseas B extensions and Talha, and NFC Phase II Block A. The project will be implemented under public-private partnerships and is estimated to cost 8 billion Pakistani rupees. This is the current update.

From Adda Plot Interchange, LRR SL-III will become Golf View Residencia and other Bahria Town projects. Due to the route, the management of Bahria Town updated the map of Golf View Residencia to start development accordingly. The owners of the Golf View Residencia community who suffered property damage due to SL-III obtained alternate blocks in the same project. So for the LRR SL-III, this particular project is obvious.

After the Tulip Extension of Bahria Town, Lafi, Iqbal, Juniper, Overseas B Extensions and SL-III of Talha will affect about 600 parcels and 300 houses. Although the town of Bahria asked the court to stop building the route in the Lahore High Court granted in August 2016, the developers have already bought back the houses and plots.

According to Unity Estates CEO Atiq-ur-Rehaman, the management bought these properties at a compatible price and cleared all homes and lots of land. Payouts for the remaining community owners will be settled by June. This shows that the matter can be resolved under certain conditions according to the SL-III's original plan, including compensation for the Punjab provincial government land or reserve land.
